Enhance familial relationships as a Families First Home Visitor in Prairie Mountain Health. Utilize a strength-based approach to support families with children aged 0-5 in their homes.
This role involves working closely with families and an inter-disciplinary team to promote positive parenting, child development, and community connection. You will implement a provincially approved curriculum while cultivating trusting relationships and addressing various family situations. The position requires flexibility to adapt to the needs of families and aims to foster strong parent-child interactions through home visiting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver curriculum to promote positive parent-child interactions • Build skilled relationships with assigned families • Support critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Connect families to valuable community resources • Plan and evaluate home visiting practices in collaboration
Requirements: • Certification in relevant social services or education • At least one year of experience in family-oriented roles • Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s Licence and personal vehicle • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT applications • Strong organizational and communication skills
