Lead road and spoil management with Elk Valley Resources in British Columbia. This in office role focuses on maintaining safety and efficiency in autonomous haulage operations.
Reporting to the Senior Supervisor of Operations, the Supervisor, Road and Spoils will oversee all dumps to ensure compliance with Geotechnical Standards. Candidates must be organized, have strong communication abilities, and be able to build relationships across all organizational levels. This position demands multitasking and prioritization skills in a dynamic mining environment and follows a 4x4 shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of dump operations for safety and efficiency
• Visually check and set up monitoring systems and analyze data
• Collaborate with AHS Central Controllers for operational surveys
• Define and address operating conditions and obstacles
• Conduct necessary audits in autonomous zones and conventional operations
Requirements:
• Minimum two years of open pit mining experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite®
• Familiarity with autonomous haulage systems is a plus
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
