Join Alberta Health Services as a full time Therapy Assistant at Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. Work closely with adults and children in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring effective rehabilitation services are delivered.
As a key member of the Speech Language Pathology team, you will assist speech language pathologists by providing direct and indirect care. This role emphasizes evidence-based practices and requires collaboration with an interprofessional team, highlighting your interpersonal skills. Engage in client-centered care, lifelong learning, and quality improvement initiatives, evolving your clinical competencies in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and indirect client care for adults and children
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Demonstrate professionalism in client and family-centered care
• Participate in client evaluations and monitoring under supervision
• Assist with quality improvement and program planning
Requirements:
• Completion of a diploma in Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program
• Ability to wear lead shielding for diagnostic imaging
• Preferred experience in speech language pathology
• Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
• Explicit criminal record check required
