Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
The General Manager performs some or all of the following duties:
Strategic Leadership & Culture
Drive Accountability: Deliver on approved company KPIs and annual budget objectives.
Inspire Teams: Provide motivational leadership to instill corporate pride, confidence, and high morale.
Enforce Compliance: Ensure total adherence to company policies, procedures, and strict quality standards.
Foster Collaboration: Unify departments by maintaining open communication channels with all functional managers.
Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a solution-oriented culture to streamline efficiencies and optimize operational costs.
Talent Management & Development
Optimize Management: Build team capability through proactive recruiting, coaching, and performance appraisal.
Define Expectations: Communicate corporate values, strategies, and clear accountability metrics to all direct reports.
Encourage Input: Maintain an open workplace climate that welcomes diverse information and professional opinions.
Sales, Growth & Relationship Management
Maximize Revenue: Design and execute corporate strategies to maximize sales revenues and profitability.
Key Account Focus: Personally engage with the top ten high-volume customers and major prospects.
Supplier Negotiations:
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate agreements to secure optimal profit margins.
Market Expansion: Identify future market opportunities and recommend required tooling or capital investments.
Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the organization at major industry trade shows, conventions, and key presentations.
Analysis & Corporate Reporting
Executive Reporting: Provide comprehensive monthly KPI analysis and performance reports to the Vice President.
Quality Oversight: Monitor performance metrics, Return Goods Authorizations (RGA), and ongoing quality issues.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Time Management: Demonstrated success working under tight constraints to hit strict project timelines.
Business Literacy: Ability to analyze business periodicals, qualified journals, and government regulations.
Communication: Exceptional skills in drafting reports, business correspondence, and standard procedure manuals.
Presentation Skills: Confident presenting data to management groups, clients, and the general public.
Mandatory Training: Commitment to completing 10–12 annual online Health & Safety courses within a 30-day window each fall (requires an 80% passing score).
