Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Lead Platform Engineer to join the Enterprise Platform Engineering team for a leading Vancouver-based retailer.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of the organization's Git

Lab SaaS, Terraform Cloud, and Dev

Ops platforms.

The successful candidate will lead a team consisting of a Git

Lab Platform Engineer, Terraform Cloud Engineer, and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), providing day-to-day direction, prioritization, mentorship, and oversight of platform operations.

Reporting to the Technology Manager, North America, you will drive platform reliability, automation, security, and developer enablement while supporting the adoption of AI-assisted workflows across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Platform Engineers responsible for Git

Lab SaaS, Terraform Cloud, and Site Reliability Engineering functions.
- Own the strategy, governance, and operational management of Git

Lab SaaS and Terraform Cloud platforms.
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Git

Ops, CI/CD, and platform engineering best practices across the organization.
- Oversee platform reliability, observability, security, access management, and compliance with SSDLC standards.
- Champion AI-assisted engineering workflows and automation initiatives that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Establish platform standards, documentation, runbooks, and self-service capabilities.
- Analyze platform performance and identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience.

Skills and Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Dev

Ops, SRE, or related disciplines.
- Deep hands-on experience with Git

Lab SaaS/Enterprise and Terraform Cloud/Enterprise.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git

Ops practices.
- Experience leading technical teams and operating enterprise platforms at scale.
- Proven experience with platform governance, security, access controls, and reliability engineering.
- Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted tools within engineering workflows.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams across Engineering, Product, and Security.
