Job Overview

Seeking a new welder for our team with at least 2 years welding experience. Wage will depend on experience and ability to consistently produce high quality welds. We are prepared to pay up to $30/hr as a starting wage along with full benefits package and gas allowance if applicable.

There is alot of room to grow a career here and want to invest in our employees. We are a small company so it is important to us that you are a team player and enjoy working with others in a close environment. We are not a production shop, we require that welds look good as opposed to most places where welds aren't typically seen and not as much of a priority.

This person must be able to perform other tasks as well such as hanging parts for powder coating and surface prep if needed. As we mentioned we are a small team and we all have to help each other out in the shop.

We will require all applicants to perform a welding test. None of which are overhead, just flats and fillet welds. Very much looking forward to bringing on a new member of our team.

Key Responsibilities

- Welding & Fabrication: Weld, fabricate, and fit up steel parts to exact specifications using blueprints, shop drawings, and jigs.
- Material Prep: Cut, drill, deburr, and grind steel components to prepare them for the welding process.
- Surface Finishing:



Operate sandblasting equipment to thoroughly clean and prep fabricated parts for coating (not very often)
- Shop Floater Duties: Maintain a clean, organized, and protected shop environment; assist with material handling, loading/unloading shipments, and final product assembly or packaging as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

- Welding Experience: Proficient in MIG welding (GMAW) on structural steel/tubing. Ability to read and accurately interpret fabrication drawings/blueprints.
- Fit-Up Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use fabricator tools (squares, tape measures, calipers, grinders, band saws) to fit up complex assemblies perfectly to spec.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, handle heavy steel components, and perform repetitive tasks (like sandblasting) in a manufacturing environment.
- Mindset: A strong team-player attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed. You are self-motivated and can work independently without constant supervision.
- Detail-Oriented: High standards for weld aesthetics and structural integrity our customers expect the best finishes on their gym floors.

Pay: $25.00-$29.50 per hour
