Position: Grocery Shift Supervisor

Work Location: 370 Main Street, Winkler, MB.

Status: Full-Time, Permanent, Non-Management.

Shifts: Five 8-hour shifts per week, Monday – Sunday. Must be available for a variety of daytime and evening shifts (8am-5pm, 10am-7pm,12pm-9pm) including Saturdays and Sundays.

What you’ll do:

The Grocery Shift Supervisor will lead by example by delivering exceptional customer service; ordering and stocking merchandise; merchandising and displaying product; receiving and unloading trucks; assisting with staff supervision; and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

The Grocery Shift Supervisor will live the Co-op Brand and strive to achieve and maintain positive and healthy relationships with co-workers and customers.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Living the Brand The Grocery Shift Supervisor will consistently represent and uphold the Co‑op brand by demonstrating Gardenland Co‑op’s vision, mission, and values in all interactions.

You will act as a Co‑op ambassador with a strong understanding of the Cooperative Retailing System and the cooperative business model, striving to build and maintain positive, healthy relationships with both co‑workers and customers.

Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and creating positive interactions.

Communicates clearly and respectfully with both customers and coworkers.

Works well within a team environment and contributes to a supportive, collaborative workplace.

Provides supervision and direction to team members when needed.

Work Duties

Perform daily work duties requiring extensive walking, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, squatting, and repetitive motions.

Lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent repetitive lifting of 5–35 lbs.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards in grocery areas.

Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing questions or concerns.

Work efficiently, diligently, and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications

Solid commitment to customer service and service excellence.

Friendly disposition with effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to meet the physical and scheduling requirements of the role.

Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
