Position: Produce Clerk

Location: 945 Thornhill Street, Morden, MB.

Status: Full-Time, Permanent.

Shifts: Five 8-hour shifts/week, Monday – Sunday, mostly day shifts (6am-3pm). Must be available for evening shift as needed and shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

What you’ll do:

The Produce Clerk is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Produce Department. Duties include preparing value-added products such as washing, cutting, and packaging fresh produce items (for example, fruit and vegetable trays), maintaining product quality, freshness, and proper rotation, ensuring a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards, receiving and stocking fresh fruits and vegetables, and assisting with product displays and merchandising throughout the produce department.

The Produce Clerk will live the Co-op Brand and strive to achieve and maintain positive and healthy relationships with co-workers and customers.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Living the Brand The Produce Clerk will consistently represent and uphold the Co‑op brand by demonstrating Gardenland Co‑op’s vision, mission, and values in all interactions.

You will act as a Co‑op ambassador with a strong understanding of the Cooperative Retailing System and the cooperative business model, striving to build and maintain positive, healthy relationships with both co‑workers and customers.

Work Duties & Requirements:

Committed to service excellence and quality food preparation.

Comfortable handling food and using knives as part of daily duties.

Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area in compliance with food safety standards.

Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries.

Possess strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs., as well as repetitive motions as part of daily responsibilities.

Qualifications
