Winter Kennel Attendant

We are hiring

-1 x Full-time position working 4 days a week, approx 40-50hrs/week. Up to 5 days a week over the Christmas period.

Contract duration: September 2026-April 2027 with the chance to extend based on performance.

Please note, staff accommodation is not available. Personal vehicle required

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals who are:

- Passionate about providing excellent sled dog care
- Friendly, professional, and courteous
- Physically fit, agile and able to perform labor-intensive tasks
- Attentive to detail and very hardworking
- Team players with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Comfortable handling energetic and powerful sled dogs
- Able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English
- Comfortable working alone in remote areas

Additional Skills & Experience (Assets, But Not Required): While the following skills are an asset, we encourage all interested applicants to apply even if you don’t have experience in these areas!





- Previous experience in a labour-intensive role
- General knowledge of tools, carpentry, or mechanical work
- Background in animal care or sled dog handling
- First aid or veterinary experience

Requirements:

- Legally eligible to work in Canada

Wage:

- $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience
- End-of-season bonus incentive
