This prestigious role offers a chance to shape Planet's vision of a 'Queryable Earth'. As a key member of the AI Research team, you will develop proprietary geospatial foundation models tailored to Planet’s unique imagery. You will engage in a multi-disciplinary approach to leverage high-resolution satellite data for advanced solution building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Innovate proprietary foundation models for geospatial analytics • Investigate and create agile environmental embeddings • Collaborate with diverse teams for solution development • Manage data pipelines and automated processing systems • Conduct research on flood damage and environmental dynamics
Requirements: • PhD and academic faculty role in relevant disciplines • 12+ years in remote sensing and image analysis • Strong background in AI and contrastive learning • Mastery of Python and related scientific libraries • Established history in impactful geospatial projects
