Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.
The salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 - $55,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

What the day will look like Service a book of business under supervision of the Underwriter and Underwriting Director
Log applications, process commercial insurance policies, endorsements, renewals.
Maintain electronic client files and abeyance files for outstanding underwriting information




Assist with preparation of quotes and binders
Assist with preparation of accounting spreadsheets, account reconciliation, bordereaux generation and broker invoicing
This role requires no travel

Skills and experience that will lead to success Post-Secondary degree/diploma
2 years of Commercial/Specialty Insurance experience is preferred
Must be technologically savvy and data-driven, including proficiency in Excel
CIP courses or designation an asset but not required to begin role
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses and certifications
Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure
Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
