Retail sales manager
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Floor coverings and draperies store. Retail business. Tasks: Direct and control daily operations . Evaluate daily operations . Plan and organize daily operations. Manage staff and assign duties. Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales. Implement price and credits policies. Develop and implement marketing strategies. Determine staffing requirements. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Conduct performance reviews. Supervise office and volunteer staff.

Supervision: 5-10 people. Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system. Inventory control software. Electronic mail. Adobe Acrobat Reader. MS Outlook.

Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods.

Salary $ 43.27 HOUR hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
