The Department of Justice and Public Safety is currently seeking an individual to join the Court Services Branch as Provincial Court Manager in the Judicial District of Fredericton.
What you will do
Reporting to the Regional Director of Court Services, the Provincial Court Manager will provide leadership to a team of ASLs and Court Stenographers and manage daily operations and service delivery.
Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
- Human resource management.
- Providing leadership and advice to ensure compliance and uniform application of policies, procedures, and guidelines in the Provincial Court.
- Court administration functions.
- Close liaison with the Judiciary and the Bar within the region,
- and other duties as may be required by the Regional Director.

The successful candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and be able to provide leadership within a fast-paced environment.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Need to have (their essential skills and qualifications)
- University Degree in a related field and four (4) years of related work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in supervision
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage
$2,271.00 - $3,176.00 biweekly depending on education and experience.
Work environment
- Office Location: Fredericton Justice Building
- Minimum 36.25 work hours per week
