Our client is a well respected developer/builder of retirement communities across Canada. With an exciting recent project getting underway in Whitby, we are recruiting an experienced administrator to join this growing team.
Duties & Requirement
- Assist the Construction Manager with day to day activities on an active construction site.
- Assist the Construction Manager with the managing of trade contractors, sub-trades, workers, and suppliers ensuring they perform according their contracts.
- Maintain an accurate log and file of all concrete delivery tickets.
- Assist the Construction Manager with the inspection of the suites and base building during all phases of construction, assisting in the monitoring of quality standards and within established schedules for a high volume, fast paced Project.
- Ensure that âas builtâ drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period. Inspect such on-site documents and report issues to the Construction Manager.
- Ensure all trades on site have and are working with the most current documents, including site instructions, RFIâs and changes. Distribute to trade mailboxes.
- Receive all Site Instructions and approved changes and ensure the drawings in the site office are current and accurate.
- Prepare and expedite the completion of project deficiency lists, including those identified by the local building authority.
- Ensure all trades embrace and work in compliance with OHSA requirements as well as those established by SDC. Report non-compliances, ensuring the appropriate process and ensure action/follow-up is taken.
- Attend all site meetings, record and prepare minutes of meetings and distribute.
- Assist in maintaining a professional, well organized and safe job site.
- Deliver the Project Safety Orientation training sessions for each and every worker on site; working with our Safety Consultant.
- Additional duties as requested to assist the Construction Manager & the project.
