Our client based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, has worked on notable projects throughout Ontario, across Canada and into New York State. They have increased their portfolio to include private and public housing; industrial, offices and retail units; schools, churches and public buildings and handles project scope from refurbishment to design build for new developments.

With the award of an exciting new mid-rise development in St Catherines Ontario, we are hiring a General Superintendent with mid rise condo construction development to join this growing team. The scope of the project includes the construction of 81 harbour estate condos, 42 heritage lofts, a 9 storey recent construction condo tower and mill conversion. The project has 2 levels of underground parking and has a 24 month schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities.

- Supervise and coach Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, Foremen and staff assigned to project.

- Assist in preparation of proposals, labour and material for construction projects based on site assessments, photos, drawings, and specifications

- Project procurement for material and labour





- Conform to schedules and deadlines and organize team members and meetings as required

- Working with Managers and Owner on invoicing

- Ensure project materials and workmanship meets the project quality standards and design requirements.

- Assist with obtaining necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors & municipal/provincial authorities.

- Resolve and advise senior management of potential problems, work interference's or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts; anticipate and resolve project and schedule issues

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 15+ years of experience as Superintendent

- University or College Degree in related curriculum or equivalent professional experience

- Strong experience with Residential and ICI projects (new builds, renos, retrofits, etc.)

- Work experience with a local General Contractor is an asset

- Proficiency with MS Office and Windows based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
