Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Manufacturing Assembler to join a growing production team within a large Engineering company in Calgary.
This role is 5 days/week, 8 hours a day, on a 12 month contract with high potential to extend/convert to full time.
You will support Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and electronics assembly, as well as assisting with electrical and mechanical testing.
The work will vary daily, offering a mix of hands-on technical assembly and computer-based testing/documentation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Perform PCB and electronics assembly, including soldering to IPC standards
• Support testing of electrical and mechanical components
• Complete quality checks and documentation using internal systems and Excel
• Follow ESD protocols and safety procedures at all times
• Participate in daily team stand-ups and communicate progress/blockers
Adapt to changing priorities (some days focused fully on soldering, others on testing/computer work)

Skills and Requirements
- Hands-on soldering experience
• Experience working to IPC standards (Class 2 preferred, Class 1 acceptable)
- Experience with PCBs / electronics assembly (not general electrical work)
- Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) practices
- Strong computer skills, including comfort with:
• Excel
• Digital work instructions / documentation systems
- Robust team mindset and communication skills
• Comfortable speaking in team stand-ups
- Safety-focused approach in a manufacturing environment
