**Job Title: Wiring Assembler**

**Job Description**
The Wiring Assembler plays a key role in assembling industrial control panels used in data centres and oil and gas applications.

In this position, you interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to install electrical components, perform precise wiring and crimping, and participate in testing completed panels.

You work with a variety of hand and power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices in a modern manufacturing environment to build custom units to exact specifications.
**Responsibilities**
Assemble industrial control panels for data centres and oil and gas units according to electrical schematics and blueprints.

Lay out panels and mount devices and components in the correct locations based on design specifications.

Perform electrical wiring of circuits within control panels, including crimping wires, routing harnesses, and terminating connections.

Use tape measures (standard and metric) to accurately measure and mark layouts for panel assembly.

Operate hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices efficiently and safely to complete assembly tasks.

Carry out mechanical assembly tasks related to switchgear and breaker assemblies.

Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to identify components, wiring paths, and assembly requirements.

Conduct basic testing and verification of assembled panels to ensure proper function and quality standards.

Document work using computer-based tools, including Microsoft Office and production or fabrication-related software.

Work effectively on the manufacturing floor, following established processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment with care.

Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to shop rules.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum of 2 years of experience in wiring assembly, ideally involving custom builds and industrial control panels.

At least 1 year of hands-on experience working on the manufacturing floor in a production or assembly environment.

Experience with switchgear and breaker assembly for a minimum of 1 year.

Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical blueprints.

Proficiency in electrical wiring of circuits, including panel wiring and component interconnections.

Ability to accurately read a tape measure in both standard and metric units.

Demonstrated skill using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely in an assembly environment.

Experience in mechanical assembly and electrical assembly within a manufacturing or fabrication setting.

Comfort working with production, fabrication, and assembly processes in a shop environment.

Basic computer skills, including using Microsoft Office for documentation and production-related tasks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in manufacturing or construction environments related to oil and gas or industrial equipment is an asset.





Exposure to industrial control panel manufacturing, switchgear, or related electrical equipment is beneficial.

Forklift, overhead crane, and picker truck experience are considered strong assets.

Ability to work both day and afternoon shifts and participate in a structured training period on day shift.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented shop environment and adapt to a fast-growing operation.

**Work Environment**
You work in a main shop housed in a new building, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices to assemble industrial control panels.

The standard shift runs Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a half-hour unpaid lunch, and there is an afternoon shift option from Monday to Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., which includes a shift premium.

New team members typically receive 4 to 8 weeks of training on the day shift before transitioning to other schedules.

The environment is a busy manufacturing floor where safety is a priority, and you are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including CSA-approved safety boots with a green triangle, safety glasses, and gloves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
