Our client is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a fleet of heavy equipment to ensure maximum uptime and reliability. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, dependable, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, tight‑knit team environment.

This position is an existing vacancy and is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, solving mechanical problems, and working on a variety of heavy equipment. While the preference is for a candidate interested in a mobile mechanic/field service role, experienced shop mechanics will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and machinery.

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled servicing.

Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.

Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and service calls in both shop and field environments.

Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.

Work independently to diagnose issues and complete repairs from start to finish.

Collaborate with fellow mechanics and operations personnel to ensure equipment reliability.





Adhere to company safety policies and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

NDT Certification.

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving abstract.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Solid attendance, reliability, and punctuality.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Plusses:

Experience working on John Deere and/or Caterpillar equipment.

1-5+ years of heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience.

Previous experience as a mobile mechanic or field service technician.

Experience diagnosing hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, and mechanical systems.

Familiarity with construction, earthmoving, or heavy industrial equipment.
