**Job Title: Warehouse Tile Cutting Associate**
**Job Description**
This role is a hands-on warehouse position within the tile cutting department, focused on cutting flooring products, preparing samples, and safely moving materials using material handling equipment.
The successful candidate works closely with a small, collaborative team, supports multiple departments through transparent communication, and ensures accurate, high-quality work in a busy flooring warehouse environment.
**Responsibilities**
Operate a tile cutting machine to cut tile, carpet, linoleum, and other flooring products according to specified measurements and quality standards.
Use a measuring tape to accurately measure flooring materials and ensure precise cuts for orders and samples.
Prepare and assemble product samples for internal and external use, maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Operate material handling equipment (MHE), including forklifts and other powered equipment, to move pallets and flooring products safely around the warehouse.
Perform general labour tasks such as loading, picking, and organizing materials to support daily warehouse operations.
Handle heavy lifting of products up to 60 lbs as part of routine warehouse duties.
Collaborate with different departments using email, Microsoft Teams, and phone to coordinate orders, clarify requirements, and support internal workflows.
Respond to client emails using Microsoft Office tools in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines.
Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively, supporting coworkers, and participating in a growing team culture.
**Essential Skills**
1+ years of experience operating a machine, preferably a tile cutter or similar equipment, in a warehouse or production environment.
1+ years of experience using a measuring tape to take accurate measurements of products or materials.
1+ years of forklift experience with sit-down, reach, or cherry picker equipment.
6+ months of experience operating Raymond reach or sit-down forklifts.
Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs on a regular basis.
Material handling experience, including moving pallets and flooring products safely and efficiently.
Experience with general labour tasks such as picking, loading, and organizing materials.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly for composing and responding to emails.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when cutting materials and preparing samples.
Ability to collaborate with multiple departments via email, Teams, and phone in a professional manner.
Confidence and craftsmanship in cutting tile and flooring products and creating samples.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a flooring warehouse with a small team of approximately four people and a growing, collaborative culture.
You work primarily in the tile cutting department, using tile cutting machines, forklifts, Raymond reach or sit-down trucks, and other material handling equipment to move pallets and flooring products.
The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The environment is hands-on and physically active, involving general labour tasks and lifting up to 60 lbs, with a focus on safety, organization, and teamwork.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
