Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Assistant to join our team. As a Yard Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to warehouse management, heavy equipment operation, and shipping/receiving. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery.

Responsibilities

- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Assist with warehouse distribution and organization
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory and shipments
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

Skills
- Experience in operating heavy equipment, such as forklifts
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems




- Experience in shipping/receiving and warehouse operations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in the telecommunications industry an asset but not required
