Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Head of Human Resources for an investment company in Downtown Toronto.

This hybrid role requires four days per week on-site and will lead the HR function for a team of over 100 professionals.

The Head of HR will be responsible for developing and executing people strategies that support business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and foster a high-performing culture.

This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while overseeing all core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR leader with financial services experience and the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.

The Head of HR will also manage one direct report.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute HR strategies that align with organizational goals and support business growth.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide guidance on workforce planning, employee engagement, succession planning, and organizational development.
• Lead employee relations initiatives, providing coaching and support on performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns.
• Oversee compensation and benefits programs, including market benchmarking, annual compensation reviews, and total rewards initiatives.
• Manage and continuously improve performance management processes to drive accountability, development, and business results.




• Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture through employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Ontario and Canadian employment laws and regulations, updating policies and practices as required.
• Support talent acquisition activities as needed, with a primary focus on intern/co-op and new graduate recruiting programs.
• Develop HR policies, procedures, and best practices that support the employee lifecycle.

Lead and mentor the HR team while acting as a trusted resource for employees and leadership across the organization.

Skills and Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or people management capacity.
• Previous HR experience within the financial services, investment management, wealth management, or asset management industry.
• Strong knowledge of talent management, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and organizational development.
• In-depth knowledge of Ontario's Employment Standards Act and other relevant employment legislation.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with hands-on execution in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.

Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and provide guidance on people-related matters.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:
• CHRP or CHRL designation.
