About the role We are seeking an experienced Working Foreman to lead a crew on a remote modular construction project in Pikangikum First Nation. This is a hands-on leadership role, you will supervise the job site, keep the project on schedule, operate equipment, and work alongside the crew doing carpentry as needed. Key Responsibilities - Crew Leadership & Safety: Direct daily tasks, maintain jobsite productivity, conduct daily toolbox talks, and enforce safety protocols. - Site Management: Plan daily/weekly schedules, organize materials and sub-trades, and solve problems proactively to prevent downtime. - Carpentry & Equipment: Perform framing/finishing work alongside the crew and safely operate heavy machinery as required. - Daily Reporting: Track progress, manage timecards,
and log jobsite photos using mobile apps (CompanyCam & VeriClock). Qualifications & Requirements - Proven experience supervising a construction crew. - Solid hands-on carpentry background and heavy equipment operation skills. - Ability to read construction drawings and plans. - Valid driver’s licence. DZ license an asset - Comfortable using mobile apps for site reporting and timekeeping. - Willingness to work a 2–3 week on / 1 week off remote rotation. - Experience on remote or northern projects is a strong asset.
