Provide crucial support as a Support Worker with FOXVALLEY COUNSELING SERVICES INC. at Isabel's Place. Assist families navigating challenges like trauma and addiction through non-traditional hours.
This role requires diverse skills to support families facing multiple risk factors, including parenting and life skills. As a Support Worker, you’ll collaborate with families during evenings, weekends, and overnights, providing guidance for routines and connecting them with community resources. Your work will directly contribute to the advocacy of family reunification in a protected environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer non-judgmental support to families in need
• Assist with bedtime and school routines for children
• Connect families to community support for addressing issues
• Provide resources for trauma and addiction recovery
• Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Experienced with trauma and addiction support
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and historical context
• Valid driver's license and criminal record check required
