DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Staff Accountant supports the accounting and financial reporting requirements of Samuel Automation, an automation and engineered‑to-order business. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records related to project accounting, inventory, and cost tracking while supporting month‑end close, audit requirements, and internal controls. The role works closely with Shared Services, Operations, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries related to project costs, WIP, accruals, and inventorySupport month‑end and year‑end close processes, including variance analysisPerform balance sheet reconciliations (inventory, WIP, accruals, fixed assets)Support project accounting activities, including cost capture and percent complete revenue recognition calculationsAssist with inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, and finished goods), and adjustmentsTrack and reconcile goods received not invoiced (GRNI) and project‑related accrualsPrepare financial reports utilizing ERP, Oracle FCC,



Excel and Power BIEnsure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controlsAssist in improving accounting processes across ERP and project systemsCalculate and reconcile sales commissionsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or progress toward CPA is preferred2–4 years of accounting experience in manufacturing, automation, or project‑based environmentsSolid understanding of project or job‑cost accounting and inventory accounting Experience with ERP systems (e.G., Encompix, Oracle FCC or similar) is an assetStrong Excel skills (reconciliations, analysis, pivot tables)Experience with consolidations and developing financial models is an assetsKey CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and data integrityAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesAnalytical mindset with problem‑solving skillsEffective communication with peers, operations and Corporate teamsThe expected annual compensation range for this position is $76,000 to $95,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices.
