Wage: $38.82 per hour + benefits according to UNION collective agreement (full-time position; 40 hours per week) , weather permitting

Location of Work: Various locations across the Greater Ottawa Area and Province of Ontario

Job Description

- Formwork used in concrete construction
- Assist with the construction of temporary wooden structures and supports
- Assist with building foundations and installing shoring
- Assist with the building and installing of platforms, scaffolding, ramps and ladders
- Determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Assist with the preparation of layouts
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood materials
- Operate power tools

Job/Skill Requirements

- 3 years or more in concrete forming carpentry experience




- Ability to learn and develop practical skills
- Capable of observing all health and safety codes
- Knowledgeable in cutting and assembling pieces of wood
- Proficient in using saws, routers and other woodworking tools
- Experienced in using hammers, chisels, screwdrivers and other carpentry tools
- Skilled in taking accurate measurements for carpentry projects
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Capacity to analyze and assess situations
- Talent for noticing small details
