Become a Temporary Skilled Labourer with the City of Woodstock in Public Works. Ideal candidates will excel in manual labour and possess heavy equipment experience.
This hands-on role reports directly to the Public Works Supervisor, focusing on a variety of labor tasks. You’ll work on concrete and sewer crews, assist with Vactor Truck operations, and ensure road safety through traffic maintenance activities. This temporary full time position can require overtime and worksites may vary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out various manual labor duties efficiently
• Aid in cleaning and maintaining catch basins
• Perform repairs on manholes and roadway surfaces
• Establish traffic control measures as needed
• Complete general maintenance on equipment
Requirements:
• Must hold a Class DZ Ontario Driver's License
• Willing to complete First Aid and CPR training
• Previous experience with heavy machinery preferred
• Prepared to work in all weather and dirty conditions
• Minimum education requirement is Grade 10
