Job DescriptionThe Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Lead is responsible for supervising the cleaning and laundry activities of staff at a Long-Term Care facility in Tavistock. The Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Lead is also responsible for performing standard minor maintenance, and ensuring the facility equipment is in proper working order.Annual SalaryRanges between $52,000 - $56,000 annually + Benefits and Pension optionsJob ResponsibilitiesDetermine the needs of the clients' operation and ensure that the appropriate Aramark resources are engaged.Achieves high standards of quality service, cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with legislative requirementsManages a team of 12 staff, scheduling, training, orientation, appraisals; manages call-insConducts departmental rounds to ensure all safety, emergency, building and support systems are functioning properlyCoordinates maintenance and repairs with outside contractors for electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, fire panels and alarm systems.Ensures outside work is performed such as snow removal, salting, grass cutting, gardeningEnsures the adequate stock of housekeeping supplies and equipment; conducts inventory counts and places orders as requiredParticipates in committee meetings on Infection Control, Quality Management, Occupational Health and SafetyParticipates in budget preparation and control process for 3 departmentsParticipates in the ?On Call? rotational schedule as requiredAt Aramark, developing current skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers.
