Fort Vermilion School Division Location 5213 River Road Fort Vermilion, ABT0H 1N0 Our Children, Our Students, Our Future: Moving the Dial on Every Child Elementary School Teacher The Fort Vermilion School Division invites applications for an Elementary teaching position. 6 vacancies Start Date 2026 -08-04End Date2028-06-09 Terms of Employment: 24-month contract Duties/Responsibilities/Skills: As per NOC 41221, Elementary school and kindergarten teachers, Elementary school teacher:Attend educational conferences and workshopsDiscuss results and students’ progress with them, their parents and school officialsEvaluate and document students’ progressParticipate in staff meetingsProvide tutoring assistanceSupervise teaching assistants and train student teachersAssign and correct homeworkDevelop course contentIdentify childrens' individual learning needs Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development and their school readinessPrepare, administer and correct testsPrepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra helpPrepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculumTeach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations and field tripSalary: $71,461 to $115,716 annually (To be negotiated) / 35-40 hours per Week Employment conditions: Day, Early Morning, Morning Education: Bachelor's degree Credentials: Provincial Teaching Certificate required Languages: English Experience: Experience an asset Work setting Public school Rural area Various locations Willing to relocate Relocation costs covered by employer (Current teachers may agree to receive a $5,000 Transitional Allowance.)
