Position Overview The District Manager will oversee multiple branch locations within a designated district, ensuring that sales targets are met, operations are efficient, and customer service is delivered at the highest level. This role involves leadership, business strategy, and operational management across all branches within the district. The District Manager will mentor and develop Branch Managers, implement company policies, and ensure that ABC Supply Canada remains a leading supplier in the industry.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.Drive sales growth by analyzing market trends and identifying new business opportunities within the district.Support Branch Managers in achieving sales targets and improving overall branch performance.Monitor district performance and implement initiatives to address any underperforming areas.Operational ManagementEnsure branches are operating in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational guidelines.Oversee inventory management, logistics, and order fulfillment to maintain optimal product levels and reduce operational costs.Implement best practices for improving customer service and branch efficiency.Leadership & DevelopmentProvide leadership and coaching to Branch Managers to foster a culture of accountability and high performance.Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of branch staff.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to branch leaders and teams.Lead district meetings to ensure alignment with corporate goals and strategies.Oversee the district's financial performance, including budgeting, cost management,
and profitability.Monitor branch-level financial metrics and ensure financial goals are met.Prepare and deliver reports on district performance to senior management.Customer Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain solid relationships with key customers, contractors, and industry partners within the district.Address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring high satisfaction rates.Represent ABC Supply Canada at industry events and trade shows.Qualifications Experience5+ years of experience in a district or regional management role, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.Proven success in driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency across multiple locations.Experience in team leadership and staff development.EducationBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.Robust leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve goals.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Strong business acumen with experience in financial and budget management.Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop action plans to address performance issues.Knowledge of the building materials industry and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.Working ConditionsMust be willing to travel within the district (approximately 50% travel).Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, tasteand/or smell; the employee mustoccasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
