Duties

We are recruiting for a Temporary Full Time Employment Consultant . Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, this role is a vital part of our Employment Services Team supporting job seekers and employers.

- Develop employment opportunities for clients
- Provide employment and training needs assessment and case management
- Develop Service Plans
- Provide instruction, individual support and advocacy
- Facilitate workshops
- Complete reporting requirements
- Collaborate with local training providers
- Work with local employers to provide placements
- Monitor client’s employment retention for 365 days

Qualifications

- Have a College Diploma in a Human/Social Services or Business field, with a Career Practitioner/Job Development certificate an asset
- Have a minimum 1-year experience in a related field
- Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases
- Access to reliable transportation, as some travel may be required
- Ability to manage exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
