The Opportunity:Shermco is seeking a proactive Electrical Testing Estimator to join our team. You'll turn project specifications into accurate, competitive quotes for electrical testing projects, including breakers, transformers, and switchgear. This is a hands-on role that requires technical insight, organizational skill, and a drive to streamline processes. You'll work closely with sales and operations to deliver high-quality proposals that win business. ResponsibilitiesAnalyze RFQs and create accurate, competitive quotes for electrical testing projects. Collaborate with sales, operations, and vendors to gather technical details and costs. Review plans, proposals, and historical data to maximize project margins. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns including labor, materials, and logistics. Assist with change orders and proposal updates as needed. Stay current on industry trends, Shermco services, and best practices.



Manage the quote queue to ensure timely submissions. Participate in job walks and training to expand technical knowledge. Qualifications2+ years estimating electrical testing or related electrical experience (journeyman or engineering technologist experience considered). Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and technical plans. Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, Bluebeam; Salesforce experience aplus. Robust organizational, analytical, and time-management skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Self-directed, motivated, and detail oriented.
