About this PositionSalary range: $55,000 - $65,000Responsibilities and QualificationsResponsibilitiesTranslates documents, correspondence and other material from English to French (90%) or French to English (10%)Ensures that messages are transferred from one language to the other in a way that ensures language accuracyParticular emphasis on documents pertaining to Life Insurance and Mutual Fund Investment products and may include legal documents, marketing materials, internal communications, management reports, presentations and client correspondenceTranslates software as required for projectsRevision of documents translated externally and internallyOther duties as may be assignedPerformance ExpectationsMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision but also amenable to direction and guidanceAbility to work in a high paced, high volume environment with changing priorities and short deadlinesWill be expected to manage several assignments and priorities at onceEnsure consistency in terminology used across documentsDetail orientedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in translation or equivalent of knowledge and skills acquired through related work experienceSuperior verbal and written communication skills in English and FrenchA demonstrated knowledge of technical terminology used in the Life Insurance and Mutual Fund industries will be considered an assetMember of a registered qualified translation organization (in Ontario: ATIO; in Quebec: OTTIAQ) will be considered an assetStrong computer competency; Must be proficient in MS Office (word, excel, PowerPoint)Familiar with terminological databases (Termium Plus, Grand dictionnaire terminologique, etc.)Strong customer service skills; a demonstrated ability to work with others in a professional mannerIt has been and will continue to be the policy of Primerica, Inc., and its subsidiaries to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
