The successful candidate must be a team player and have technical experience in industrial electrical and control wiring. Please see our website link for an in‑depth look at our facility and shop environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall equipment as per the general arrangement drawingsInstall conduit and cable as per electrical schematicsWiring of various types of instrumentation and controlsAssemble and wire custom control panelsEnsure manufacturers installation instructions and all code requirements are adhered toConfirm wiring of components as they are completedReview bill of materials for accuracy and flag any errors immediatelyRedline drawings as required during assemblyReview finished assembly for accuracyOccasional site work and associated travelInput weekly timesheets accurately and in a timely mannerAdhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct in the shopMaintain a clean and secure working environmentOther assigned duties as requiredSkillsElectrical AssemblyBasic TroubleshootingRead Schematic DrawingsUnderstanding of instrumentation/device wiring and motor controlsUnderstanding User ManualsModerate knowledge of the Canadian Electric Code Part 1Hours7:00 am – 3:30 pmHSE / Quality Responsibilities And DutiesImmediately report any accident / incident and collaborate in its investigationInterrupt work when conditions are unsafe, create safe work environment when possible and report to upper managementMaintain orderly and clean work areasUse and maintain in good condition the safety equipment, work tools and personal protective equipment for the groupWork in a safe mannerRequirementsEducation:High school diploma or equivalentAccredited trade school or equivalentExperience:3+ Years of relevant electrical experience or equivalent3+ Years as a junior electrician or equivalentBenefitsIndustry‑Leading CompensationAWC offers competitive, industry‑leading compensation packages designed to recognize and reward performance.
