As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an Accountant who enjoys balancing technical accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, and process improvement within a collaborative team environment.If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and taking ownership of your work, this could be the next step in your career.What You'll Be DoingAs a key member of the Finance team, you'll support accurate financial reporting while helping ensure corporate tax compliance across multiple entities.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end closePreparing and filing direct and indirect tax returns (GST/HST and related filings)Assisting with corporate tax reporting and complianceSupporting internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiriesMonitoring tax filing deadlines and maintaining compliance calendarsWorking cross-functionally with Finance and other business departmentsPreparing financial analyses and reports to support business decisionsIdentifying opportunities to improve and automate accounting and tax processesSupporting special projects and continuous improvement initiativesMaintaining accurate documentation and accounting proceduresWhat We're Looking ForWe're interested in professionals who bring solid accounting fundamentals along with a desire to continue learning and growing.QualificationsPostsecondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business3–5+ years of progressive accounting experienceExperience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliationsExposure to corporate tax, indirect tax, or tax complianceStrong understanding of Canadian accounting principlesAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilitiesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departmentsA proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvementNice to HaveExperience with any of the following would be considered an asset:CPA designation or CPA candidateCorporate tax reportingPower BI or TableauSQLERP systemsManufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail, or energy industry experienceBilingual English/FrenchWho Will Thrive HereThis chance is ideal for someone who:Enjoys taking ownership and seeing work through from start to finishWants more variety than a traditional accounting roleLikes improving processes and finding efficienciesValues stability, collaboration, and long-term career developmentWants to work for a successful Canadian organization where their contributions are recognizedContract Info / Information sur le contratJob ID / No. du Poste: 58901785Open Positions / Postes Ouverts: 1#ONDT#J-18808-Ljbffr
