Responsibilities

- Supervise patients’ exercise routines
- Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
- Perform other duties related to personal care
- Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
- Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
- Bathe, dress and groom patients
- Transport patients between care facilities
- Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- Answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
- Administer first aid in emergency situations

Qualifications

- Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses – First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
- Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records, Vulnerable sector check, Tuberculosis test




- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks; combination of sitting, standing, walking; bending, crouching, kneeling
- Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- Personal suitability: Client focus, Dependability, Flexibility, Initiative, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Patience
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
- Location: North York, ON
- Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged; Own transportation required
