We are currently seeking aRegional Operations Manager to oversee our operations in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec which includes two facilities and an amazing team of over 20 employees.Reporting to the Director of Operations Canada, you will play a critical role in maintaining our safety culture, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance across shipping and receiving activities. What will your main responsibilities be as Regional Operations Manager? Health & Safety Foster and maintain a safety culture amongst all employees, ensuring safety remains a core value in all activities. Lead initiatives to continuously improve the Operations safety culture and overall performance. Ensure the safe handling of chemical products, adhering to the Responsible Distribution Code of Practice and all local, provincial, federal regulations. Lead Local Health and Safety committee, ensure all employees operate in a safe manner. Housekeeping practices result in a clean/safe facility, regular safety/compliance audits are performed, and defects noted/corrected. Ensure all health & safety incidents are recorded, complete with an analysis as to the root cause and the actions taken to ensure there are no repeats. Liaison with the Risk and Regulatory Affairs Manager, ensuring compliance and adherence to all initiatives, policies and procedures. Lead the Local Emergency Response Committee, including periodic drills, tabletop exercises, training and information sessions to ensure all understand their roles and responsibilities. Ensure site inspections are conducted for new bulk customers, and re-audits performed when required, to confirm compliance with Responsible Distribution standards and health and safety requirements. Collaborate with local emergency responders and service providers to ensure alignment with Quadra's safety vision, emergency preparedness standards, and local regulatory requirements. Service & Operations Develop and manage the overall financial budget for the facility, to ensure overall cost containment, and alignment with corporate expense initiatives.
Oversee site purchasing as it relates to security, cleaning, maintenance, renovations, suppliers for consumables, service contracts, etc. Ensure operational capabilities meet or exceed industry and customer requirements in terms of cost, quality, safety and responsiveness. Lead and manage the operations team, ensuring high service levels, operational productivity, quality, safety and cost efficiency within the region. Provide strong people leadership by recruiting, developing, coaching and retraining high-performing Operations Team. Address performance issues promptly and professionally in accordance with Quadra's People Management policies, procedures, and core values. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and conduct performance review to support employee development and leadership capability within the Operations team. Serve as a key business partner to the Commercial team, aligning operations strategy with sales objectives to support customer growth, operational efficiency, and overall business performance. Monitor and maintain a policy of zero tolerance for shipping/receiving errors, ensure inventory accuracy, as well as compliance with FIFO initiatives. Meet yearly objectives on inventory accuracy and management. Ensure that all damaged goods are reported, complete with an investigation and actions to minimize the chance of repeats. Ensure all CASEs's including incident/accident reports relating to the branch areas of responsibility are responded to promptly, complete with an investigation and actions to eliminate the chance of repeats. Manage the region emergency response system, including site security, customers after hours calls and chemical spill response as per policies and procedures. Lead, initiate and assess space/racking optimization and other efficiency improvements. Lead key capital Operations projects. Quality Ensure full compliance with all quality programs and standards (ISO, GDP, BRC, RD, COR etc.) including initiatives, policies and procedures, and both internal and external audits to maintain successful qualification within the region. Actively participate as a member of the Total Quality Management (TQM) committee, ensure compliance with TQM initiatives, and that all employees understand the importance of the program to the success of Quadra. What do you need to be successful in this Regional Operations Manager role: Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain would be considered as a strong asset. Minimum of 8 years of leadership, management and team building experience in an operations environment. Minimum 8 years chemical operations experience in the handling of bulk chemicals, managing warehouses and/or production. Proven experience in logistics, distribution, and supply chain operations. Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to engage, influence, and develop teams while effectively collaborating with internal and external partners. Strong proficiency working in advanced IT Environments (ERP, MS Office, Salesforce, Transportation Management System, etc.) Proven communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Bilingualism (French/English) both orally and written is needed for this role Customer-focused mindset with a solid understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM), Continuous Improvement, and Quality Assurance principles. Professional certification in operations, project management, or continuous improvement (i.E.: Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, PMP) would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate effective relationships with customers (internal & external), clients, suppliers and stakeholders Experience in managing and promoting a safe work environment Proven experience in dealing with regulatory inspections, audits, and incident investigations. Ability to manage complex projects, on time and on budget Proven knowledge and familiarity with the following standards, but not limited to: OHSA, WSIA, ESA, CSA, Quebec Fire Code, HRA, BRC, ISO. Compensation Information The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be between $101,175.00 and $178,350.00. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a generous incentive program and full benefits.
