We’re looking for a Tax Manager to join a well-established, multi-partner CPA firm after 4/15.The firm works with a diverse and loyal client base - family-owned businesses, real estate owners, agricultural enterprises, construction contractors, and high-net-worth individuals.This is a senior role with genuine progression potential. You'll manage a varied tax portfolio, mentor a small team of associates and seniors, and work directly with partners on complex engagements.If you want to be a meaningful contributor at a firm that values loyalty and recognizes performance then this could be worth a conversation.What you’ll be doing:Managing a portfolio of business and individual tax clients across multiple entity types - partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, trusts, and high-net-worth individualsReviewing complex federal and California state tax returns prepared by senior and staff associatesLeading planning conversations with clients year-roundSupervising and developing a team of associates; reviewing work, providing feedback, and serving as the day-to-day technical resourceIdentifying tax savings opportunities and structuring issues for clients across real estate, agriculture, and closely held businessesCoordinating with partners on complex or high-exposure engagements,



including IRS and state noticesManaging client deadlines and workflow across the team to ensure on-time deliveryContributing to business development - building on existing relationships and supporting partner-led growth initiativesThe right fit:5+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 2 at the manager level or explicit readiness to step upStrong technical foundation in partnership, S-corp, and individual taxationExperience reviewing returns and managing client relationships independently, not just preparingCalm under deadline pressure with the organizational instincts to keep a team on trackSomeone who wants to build something, not just execute someone else's planPackage:Salary of $120,000 - $145,000 (DOE)Up to 10% retirement contributionFull health and dental coverageClear route to Senior Manager and beyondNot quite the right fit, but exploring what's out there?
