Join the Prince George Native Friendship Centre as a Full time Family Consultant. Support Indigenous families and young children through culturally anchored, family-centered programming that enhances wellness and community connection.
As a Family Consultant in the Aboriginal Infant & Family Development Program, you will engage with Indigenous children aged birth to 6 and their families. This role emphasizes building trusting relationships and promoting healthy development. You will integrate culturally relevant practices while collaborating with community partners and advocates to empower families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trusting, culturally safe relationships with families
• Provide home visits and family support services
• Deliver culturally relevant early learning programs
• Promote parent-child relationships and healthy child development
• Collaborate with Elders and community partners
Requirements:
• Early Childhood Education Diploma or related education
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Development best practices
• Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures
• Child-Specific First Aid and Food Safe certificates
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
