inclusive cultureA excellent place to workRESPONSIBILITIES:Perform all types of repairs and maintenance to transportation equipmentPerform all tasks to best practices timelinesProvide necessary hand tools for job completionPerform welding, including arc, MIG, Aluminum, Steel, air arc, plasma cutting and acetylene cuttingPerform all types of brake, suspension, air system, electrical and body repairsPerform government safety inspectionsEnsure all parts and consumables being used are recorded on the work order at time of useKeep work area in standard operating condition at all times, including tools stored in standard locationsOccasional road service calls for emergency servicePromote a protected work environment, follow safety standards at all times and ensure timely reporting of any Health and Safety issuesOther work as may be definedSkills and ExperienceCertified to perform government inspections: trucks, trailersAble to use large tools typical of transport equipmentProfessional and respectful communication skillsStrong technical skills related to transportation equipmentFluent in reading and writing in EnglishQUALIFICATIONSEducation and TrainingGrade 12 or equivalent with technical training310J Trailer CertificationThe salary range for this position is $32 per hour - $40 per hour based on relevant credentials and experience
