Purpose: We are currently recruiting for a Analytical Technologist. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Kingston, Ontario. We are looking for an Analytical Technologist at Qnity’s (formerly DuPont’s) Kingston Research Facility with a chemistry background and strong hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. The ideal applicant is a self-motivated team player and will have demonstrated good communication and prioritization skills The successful candidate will work primarily in the Analytical Services Group and will have the following general responsibilities: Responsibilities: Work within a multi-disciplinary team focused on analysis of sample streams from R&D or manufacturing programs. Lead and participate in the development of advanced analytical methods for the project(s) assigned to (NMR, mass spectrometry, chromatographic, spectroscopic, physical and other techniques). Interface regularly with project teams to share and discuss analytical results, understand changing needs of project, communicate timing of workflow through analytical. Participate and/or lead initiatives for the improvement of the analytical facilities. Document results and methods in various formats and present results. Train and/or mentor other team members in specific analytical methods for a given project. Work in a business-driven environment that is continuously improving and evolving to meet the changing needs of our customers.



What you will bring: Technical and Industry Experience: The successful candidate will have a solid educational background and experience working in Analytical Chemistry. The individual will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to be an effective team member and able to provide and receive coaching and guidance to other personnel. As the project work evolves, flexibility will be required in terms of willingness to take on different work and to be flexible in work schedules (e.G. some periods of shiftwork may be required). Up to 5 years of experience in analytical laboratory experience. Experience in a lab setting and knowledge of general lab safety processes and procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills for writing reports, operating instructions, and authoring or revising procedures. Strong analytical, technical, data organization, and computer skills. Strong planning and reporting skills. Strong ability to work independently. Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to understand process safety procedures. Experienced and proficient in method development and use of NMR, mass spectrometry and related systems. Experienced and proficient in method development and use of ICP-MS and microwave digestion. Demonstrated ability to analyze data from NMR, mass spectrometry, and chromatography, and present analysis in various formats for sharing with customers. Demonstrated understanding and use of calibration and external standard response techniques for quantitative data analysis. High level of computer aptitude and proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong organizational, communication (oral & written),



teaming and collaborative skills. Able to take initiative and exercise judgment in planning and executing work assignments. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams and also strong ability to work independently. Ability to understand process safety procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write reports, operating instructions and author or revise procedures. Demonstrated experience with MS Office suite and LIMS. Strong planning and reporting skills. Preferred Attributes and Experience: Proficiency with statistical analysis tools for monitoring reproducibility, reliability, and measurement system error analysis. Familiarity with some version of a LIMS for databasing results and information. Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Required: BSc or Diploma in Chemistry or related field. For applicants based in the province of Ontario, the salary range is $67,205 to $98,831 CAD.
