We develop smart lighting technology that combines machine learning, edge computing, and data fusion to transform how commercial lighting systems are designed, commissioned, operated, and maintained.Role OverviewWe are seeking ahands-on Manufacturing Quality Engineerto support bothproduction operations and product quality activitiesin a fast-paced hardware manufacturing setting. This role combinesmanufacturing support, quality engineering, and process improvement, requiring strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work across engineering, production, and supply chain teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on the production floor, troubleshooting real manufacturing issues, and building structured quality systems to improve product reliability and process consistency.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing & Production SupportSupport day-to-day manufacturing and production engineering activitiesAssist with prototype, pilot, and production buildsTroubleshoot manufacturing and production issues on the shop floorSupport production readiness, material flow, and operational continuityAssist in implementing engineering changes in production environmentsQuality Engineering & SystemsSupport incoming inspection, in-process checks, and final product validationParticipate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Investigate product and process defects and identify failure modesDevelop and improve quality inspection criteria, checklists,
and test processesSupport supplier quality communications and nonconformance managementHelp define and maintain structured quality systems and documentationProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and process consistencySupport development and refinement of work instructions and assembly proceduresContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality functionsAnalyze recurring issues and recommend systemic improvementsTesting & Technical ValidationSupport product testing, validation, and troubleshooting activitiesAssist with setup and execution of functional tests for hardware or electro-mechanical systemsReproduce issues and support engineering teams in identifying root causesDocument test results and technical findings clearly and consistentlyCross-Functional Collaboration & CoordinationWork closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and SuppliersTrack quality issues and engineering tasks using structured work management systems (e.G., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools)Support communication between internal teams and external manufacturing partnersMaintain organized records of quality issues, investigations, and resolutionsRequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related Engineering disciplineTechnical SkillsFamiliarity with manufacturing, production, or hardware environmentsUnderstanding of quality engineering concepts (RCA, defect analysis, inspection processes)Experience with structured documentation (work instructions, test procedures, technical reports)Exposure to work tracking systems (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointNice to HaveHands-on experience in electronics, hardware, or electromechanical manufacturingExperience with test equipment, lab environments, or production validation setupsExposure to supplier quality or nonconformance processesExperience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principlesProgramming or scripting experience is an asset#J-18808-Ljbffr
