Role Description The Research Assistant is a part-time, versatile at most times, remote, home office and about Ward 13 boundaries. This role based in Toronto, ON. In this position, you will support independent research projects by gathering and organizing information, conducting literature reviews, and assisting with data collection. You will help with experimental or field tasks where applicable, perform data entry and basic data analysis, and contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records,
coordinating with the Norman MacLeod directly on project timelines and milestones, and ensuring research activities follow relevant standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analysis abilities to interpret findings and support evidence-based conclusions.
- Be willing to market my candidacy in public and private conversations.
- Candidates should possess robust Research skills, including literature review, information gathering, and documentation of methods and results.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present research outcomes clearly, collaborate in person, and prepare written materials.
- Candidates should possess Personality or equivalent social skills where applicable, including safe handling of information and adherence to protocols.
- Relevant skills such as time management, attention to detail, and organizational abilities are beneficial.
- A student in media ,social work, politics or similar roles related to political field (e.g., social science, business, or similar) is preferred.
- Experience with prodtuctivity tools and basic statistical or spreadsheet software is an asset.
