As part of the growth of our North American wood division, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the daily scheduling and coordination of truck transportation services for our wood department. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing carrier capacity, booking trucks, monitoring shipments and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent communication with customers, carriers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule truck transportation for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Source and book qualified carriers to meet customer shipping requirements.
- Negotiate rates and transportation costs with carriers and brokers.
- Monitor shipment status from pickup through delivery and proactively address service issues.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers, carriers, customers and warehouse personnel.
- Ensure all loads are dispatched accurately and on schedule.
- Track and update and internal records.
- Resolve transportation delays, delivery exceptions and customer concerns promptly.
- Monitor carrier performance and maintain solid carrier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations and safety requirements.
- Assist with freight quoting,



capacity planning and logistics reporting.

Qualifications

- College degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, freight brokerage, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of trucking operations, freight terminology, and transportation processes.
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS), load boards, and logistics software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Robust communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Bilingual (French/English) is essential.
