Services include educating parents about childcare and child development; advocacy for parents/families; encouraging nurturing behavior and interaction between parents and their children; and assisting parents and families in accessing relevant community resources.QualificationsPreferred University Degree in Human ServicesRequired College Diploma in Human ServicesTwo (2) years’ direct service with children, families and groups preferredLife Skills Coaching Certification an assetEquivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredOther RequirementsRespect for, sensitivity towards as well as knowledge and understanding of Anishnawbek culture, traditions and the Seven Grandfather TeachingsAbility to understand and speak Anishnaabemowin is a definite assetMust provide a Criminal Records Check deemed satisfactory by the employerMust have a Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s Licence,
