Working here means a network of possibilities, an environment where you are valued, and a commitment to a higher standard.Job OverviewThe Senior Business Analyst role has a number of functions including partnering with business line(s) to assess, research, analyze and document business and systems needs and partnering with IT to recommend business solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs; supporting key finance and select business systems; and collaboratingwith Finance on process flow improvements and automation efficiencies leveraging AI. The role requires a high degree of interaction with the business members and serves as an intermediary between the business and IT. The role reports to the Director, Digital Solutions.ResponsibilitiesProvide application and business support for quality of services, particularly for finance systems, including issue investigation and analysis.Collaborate with business areas to understand challenges and construct options that fit the long‑term business and IT strategy.Collaborate with the team to identify, sequence and document requirements for modernization, defining how the modernized function will operate.Collaborate with Finance and IT to apply technologies, including AI,
to achieve efficiencies in finance.Maintain a robust, collaborative, healthy working relationship with business representatives and act as intermediary between business, IT, and National Operations.Develop proposals for small to medium projects with business and assist in developing accurate, compelling business cases and approaches for solutions.Assess, research, analyze, and document business needs following Project Life Cycle methodology.Ensure adequate end‑user documentation and training.Role ProgressionOver time, the incumbent is expected to grow breadth and depth of knowledge of key systems, including ERP, finance systems, and surrounding systems.Grow partnerships by ensuring integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end‑user requirements, and resolve systems issues.Strategic Planning and Operational SupportDevelop evolving knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and related technologies to apply improvements for efficiencies, revenue growth, or other objectives.Collaborate with development, architecture, operations, and Project Manager(s)
to modify existing applications or services and/or develop new software programs.Participate in feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration and provide advice based on findings.Serve as a source of business and process knowledge to the IT team in collaborating and evolving the overall IT strategy.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business‑related or Computer‑related field or relevant experience.Minimum of 5+ years’ business analysis experience.Experience with Oracle Finance systems beneficial.Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project‑based work structures.Disciplined approach to problem solving and process improvement.Hands‑on support expectations.Strong initiative and innovation, with a penchant for applying for practical use.Previous experience or familiarity with wholesale distribution.Strong leadership skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Pragmatic problem‑solving skills.Ability to present ideas in business‑friendly and user‑friendly language.Highly self‑motivated and directed.Keen attention to detail.Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem‑solving abilities.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment.Understands how to leverage technology to improve business.Recruiting InformationThis position requires the result of a satisfactory criminal record check.
