Maintenance Technician II Forge Consulting Group is partnering with a leading and highly respected greenhouse producer recognized for its commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and premium-quality fresh produce. As the organization continues to grow, they are seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic and cooperative maintenance team.
Position Summary As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of greenhouse, packhouse, and facility equipment. Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and fellow technicians, you will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures, complete repairs, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment, conveyor systems, greenhouse systems, production equipment, and facility infrastructure
Utilize preventative maintenance software to accurately document work orders, downtime, repairs, labor hours, and parts usage
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and automation-related issues
Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and facility improvement projects
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions
Operate various equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, skyjacks, and company vehicles
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, Lockout/Tagout procedures, food safety standards, and company policies
Collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency
Support training and development of junior maintenance personnel as required
Participate in on-call, weekend, holiday, and extended-hour work schedules when necessary




Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required
College Diploma, Apprenticeship, or Technical Certification preferred
Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, greenhouse, agricultural, food production, or industrial setting
Experience with preventative maintenance software and work order systems
Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, conveyors, sealers, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and equipment documentation
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks
Spanish language skills are considered an asset
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb for extended periods
Comfortable working at heights using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Ability to work in greenhouse, warehouse, cooler, outdoor, and office environments
Comfortable working around moving machinery and varying seasonal temperatures
