Marine and Shipbuilders CMAW Local 506 is hiring Painter/Blasters for significant government shipbuilding projects in North Vancouver. Dive into a long-term career within Canada’s thriving shipbuilding sector.

As a key player, you will prepare and coat ship surfaces, ensuring high standards are met. Your role will involve using cutting-edge mechanical tools and techniques in a safety-conscious shipyard setting. This opportunity requires solid paint application skills and a commitment to teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
• Apply coatings using various spray methods
• Operate sandblasting and spray equipment
• Maintain paint consistency and quality
• Mask surfaces to prevent overspray
• Read and follow blueprints and MSDS guidelines

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or similar training
• At least 2 years of relevant coatings experience
• Understanding of shipbuilding processes preferred
• Knowledge of SSPC/NACE standards
• Positive attitude and team collaboration skills
