W.A.J. Construction and Renovation INC. is a construction business mainly focused on but not limited to the renovations of homes in the Prince George area.
We are looking to hire a Journeyman/ red seal Carpenter to join our team.
The projects we work on are very diverse and include:
Residential renovations
Recent home construction
Structural upgrades
Exterior renovations
Interior renovations
Types of Carpentry work varies and can include but is not limited to:
Framing
Landscape Carpentry
Kitchen and Bathroom carpentry
Drywall and ceiling repair and installation
Flooring and baseboard installation
Basic Finishing Carpentry
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
Have a Red Seal certification or equivalent in time and experience
Have a minimum 5 years’ experience in residential construction
Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques in B.C.
Have the ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications
Be a hard-working, organized, team player
Be a proactive problem-solver that can manage difficult situations with positive results
Demonstrate competence in the areas of safety, and project execution
Is adaptable to change and variety of work
Have a reliable vehicle for transportation
Be willing and able to receive a government criminal record clearance
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
