Available Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Canuel Caterers is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Cafe Manager/ Cook to join our team at the Justice Institute of BC in Maple Ridge. This role combines front-of-house customer service with food preparation in a busy café environment. You will be working by yourself, managing the self-contained cafe.

Responsibilities
Opening and closing the cafe
Prepare a variety of fresh hot and cold food items, including baked goods, breakfast wraps/sandwiches, panini, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and grab-and-go meals.
Provide friendly, professional customer service to all guests.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, debit, and credit card transactions. Daily bank deposits.
Balance cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail.
Stock, organize, and maintain attractive front-of-house displays,



coolers, and beverage stations.
Place weekly orders, and monthly inventory counts
Follow all Food Protected practices and health regulations to ensure protected food handling and sanitation.

Qualifications
Food and Beverage Management experience
Valid FoodSafe Certificate (required).
Friendly, professional, and dependable with excellent communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must successfully pass a Criminal Record Check.
