AGS Automotive Systems is seeking an experienced Capital and Tooling Buyer to manage tooling purchases and enhance supplier relationships. This role requires robust negotiation skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality goods. As part of a cross-functional team reporting to the Senior Corp Procurement Manager, the Capital and Tooling Buyer focuses on sourcing and managing all capital and tooling requirements.

You will evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate contracts, and support timely delivery to manufacturing plants. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and new business launches. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain an approved supplier base to ensure quality
Prepare and analyze RFQ packages and supplier quotations




Recommend sourcing decisions based on critical criteria
Negotiate commercial aspects of tooling purchases
Collaborate with Tooling Engineering on sourcing new tooling Requirements:
High School Diploma; college degree preferred
Proven automotive purchasing experience of capital and tooling
Robust negotiation and analytical skills
Robust Excel and automotive industry knowledge
Ability to build productive stakeholder relationships Take the lead in managing tooling purchases and supplier quality at AGS Automotive Systems.
